Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.chassy.io/user-guides/fleet-user-guide/managing-a-fleet.md). # Managing a Fleet Now that you have a fleet with enrolled machines, there are some things you should know about managing your fleet. ## Machine states On the *Fleet* panel, Chassy displays each fleet and a color indicating the status of each of their machines. It also displays a count on the right side. This is a helpful top-level view for the status of your fleet.
The Fleet panels gives you an overview of the fleets' and machines' statuses.
Clicking the fleet will prompt some information about the fleet to appear on screen for your viewing.
The sidebar has more detailed information about the fleet, including a list of machines and deployments.
You can also click on any colored boxes to view information about an individual machine's status. A panel will appear on the right side of your screen with detailed information about the machine.
The machine detail sidebar will show information like the machine's status, ID, IP address, and the last contact date and time.
You can also see all of your machines from a top level view in the *Machines* tab. From this view, you can also toggle filters and change the arrangement setting.
The Machine tab gives you a list of all enrolled machines and their statuses.
Clicking any machine from this view will show the same panel as from the *All* tab.
Click onto any machine to get more detailed information on the sidebar.
